From Geneva go to Portes du Soleil. In surface it's the biggest ski area you'll ever see (37 000 hectares), it's a powder magnet like Chamonix, and on top of that it has 7 parks of which the best in France (Avoriaz) and one of the best in Switzerland (Superpark Les Crosets). The area is so big it spans across Switzerland and France, there's so many different types of terrain, and it's much more accessible than Chamonix (= you won't kill yourself). Would def. be my #1 choice from Geneva.
I think Portes du Soleil, Flaine, Chamonix.... are the only resorts which are 1,5h from Geneva. Chamonix obviously has the biggest mountain.
If you go a bit further you can try Verbier but Verbier usually has less snow than Chamonix and Portes du Soleil.
If you're going in April check out the monster park in Les Diablerets.

portes du soleil for sure if you don't want to go to far from geneva. as the guy above said, avoriaz and les crosets have great parks. for the big mountain head of to chatel and avoriaz. other further afield is verbier (4 vallées) and other small resorts in the Valais central.

most of these are not even remotely close to Geneva.

verbier, leysin, les diableretes are relatively close to geneva. i also had a lot of fun in la clusaz which is just a hop skip and a fart over the border from geneva.

Well Chamonix apperantly has le best neige or snow from what I have been told. It will also have a park this season created by Ho5 park designers. I will be skiing Chamonix and La Plagne, because it is close enough with a park and booter heaven.

i've been a verbier skier for over 10 years and i still love it. you wont get better terain anywhere in teh world, unfortunately, you wont find worse snowfall anywhere else in teh world. the park is gonna be good this year tho, southwell and the lads are designing and shaping it, and they are keeping it healthy with fake snow from mid december onwards. should be dope.
