Where's the best place to find out about comps? Ask locals? Or is there sites that list them? Or is it just best checking individual mountains websites?

Individual mountains or local comp sponsors should know all about competitions in your area. NS covers them decently well, for BC/Big mountain check IFSA. There are others too, just search around. Local mtn websites will be good too.
