Help chipped salomon 1080s!

I used my brand new 1080s yesterday for the first time and managed to take a take a large chip out of the tail when screwing up a landing. I'd heard it was a prob with them but did'nt think it was this bad. Anyone got any suggestions on how to stop them chipping so easily.
Cheers

The delam crap really gets to you, i havent had to many problems with my concepts, but i will eventually have some delam probs, not much you can do about it, its pretty much just expected to happen. later

Go to where you bought them. See if they will replace or at least fix them for free. That's really gay!

i had the original 10's and they chipped alot. no big friggin deal they ski'd just as good the last time i used em as the first time. it's like trying to drive a car down the road w/ out getting a stone chip, this crap is bound to happen.

Mine chipped too, just think about it, sharp metal going into a soft top sheet with a lot of force. These skis cant be bombproof, too expensive and probably heavy or some other disadvantage, its only cosmetic.

all skis chip, its just the way things are but it doesent seem to affect the performance untill it gets down to the core and then u might have to worry about delam. I heard nordicas skis have something on them that is supposed to stop chipping. Last year when my skis got really chiped on the tails i just taped over the chips.
