Does the UP have any good backcountry? I hear they get a pretty decent amount of snow up there every winter. How is it?

the UP of Michigan? They get more snow than a lot of places in Colorado. I've never been there but I heard Mt. Bohemia is SICK. www.mtbohemia.com The pictures are pretty cool.

Never underestamate of crappy and how good the midwest can be... i think the up has some good size hills but it all depends on the snowfall.

Yeah, i met with a rep from bohemia last season, he said I should come up (of course) and that they get a consistent 300 inches a year of snowfall. I didn't believe him tho, that's a lot, i mean it is basically in canada, but still...

most of the up gets a lot of snow. Ski Brule was open from october 30th to April 24th. Not too bad for Michigan. I've seen video of Mt. Bohemia and its way scarier than anything I'd try.

yeah, mt bohemia is crazy. I mean the T-Bar at breck doesn't really compare to bohemia. There's not one run at bohemia that's not black. So much pow and trees too. It's some crazy stuff. I would rather ski at Breck tho, cuz it has a park and the mountain is a ton bigger, but still bohemia is crazy. The reason they gave last season women free was because barely any women ever ski there since it's crazy. Yeah, i wanna go now.
