Zombie plague

My brother and I watch a ton of zombie movies, so I'm probably a bigger nerd than anyone else here when it comes to this kind of thing, but have any of you ever wondered how you might fare in the event of a zombie outbreak? It'd be insane. I'd like to know early on so that I could be the first person to raid the gun store or the wal-mart hunting supply section. It could actually be a lot of fun if you didn't die in the initial invasion and the world wasn't totally destroyed afterward.

Thoughts?

in africa a few years ago there was a disease that was carried by mosquitoes that would kill you. but after you died(like a day or so) your muscles would start twitching and spasming. the disease somehow did that and all the african village people freaked out

Yah cause they all believe in Voodoo zombies and re-animation...which is crazy. I'm talking about what might happen if you're going about your daily business running errands and shit and boom, suddenly there's an army of the undead swarming everywhere.

Zombie movies always confused me why wouldn't you just close a heavy door. Like at an industrial building. They usually lack the ability to open doors so you are set.

Ummmmmm yah, it's definitely going to happen some day, and it'll be straight out of the movies. Panicking masses will swarm toward gas stations, only to get stranded and mowed down by military attack helicopters who have mistaken them for ghouls. 

Meantime, I'll be headed for the mountains with a trunk full of extra gasoline cans and as many guns as I can find. Zombies are dead, so their bodies are cold, that means they freeze in the winter. I can ski for a few months and figure out what to do about them right before the spring thaw. You could just walk around smacking their heads off like tee ball while theyre frozen in place...problem solved.

whoever says they would use guns, its not a good idea the most efficient anti-zombie weapon in my book is a katana, keep these fuckers coming ill keep cutting . guns run out of ammo way too fast.

bad idea, guns killl from range. jatana is close quarters compat, with 100 of them around you, now way youd live, fatigue would set in.

what about a gun that shoots katanas?

id probably just head to our sailboat with a fishing rod.  we have a bbq thing on the back of it.   id sail the seas and eat fish, anchoring near islands that im sure of (gps) and collect firewood and store it below.  do that for a month or so and then hunger should have set in (28 days later).

Go read the zombie survival guide and World War Z by max books. 

I guess I'm a bit of a zombie afficianado myself. 

And for the guy that says just close a heavy door, that would work for a small number of zombies, but with hundreds all trying to get to you, the door would eventually be broken.

Zombie Survival Guide is a pretty good read, but I disagree with some of it. 

Oh, and it's not meant to be funny, it the THE MOST SERIOUS AND INFORMATIVE BOOK YOU WILL EVER READ IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE...I honestly believe that's what will separate the survivors from everyone else, whether or not you've read it. That, and whether or not you're a crazy person who lives in the woods and has an arsenal, a bomb shelter, and 24 months worth of non-perishable food underneath your house.
