it seems like basically everyone on here always talks about partying and stuff and im just wondering if theres anyone whos sraight edge. i recently got caught at a party smoking and drinking and ive decided to stop. i dont have any problem with people who do party cuz i know its way fun.

they dont even have straight edge where i live...everyone drinks and a decent amount of people smoke ganj...i dont find it that bad...just kind of normal...

I haven't done anything in 6 weeks, trying to keep it that way. Like someone above said, it's a vice, and theres no point in having something hindering you if you can prevent it.

Straight edge is cool for some people but i just like some things alot and they arent hurting me.

i don't drink much (i have a little) and i don't smoke anything, but i don't look down upon those who do. hell, i know some great people who do both (sometimes in huge amounts) but so long as they don't do it when i'm around or anything, its fine. And yea, i've been offered to before, but i just say no thanks, and they accept that and know better not to ask again. it works

i would like to add that i would prob be a better skier if i didnt drink so much, but I wouldnt have as nearly as much fun in my social life so I think I'll keep drinking. I like to try to balance em.

Dude you cant be serious! The fact that i wake up drunk and go skiing means i do loads of stupid shit and have way more fun. Hell, the majority of the recent tricks that ive learned have been the morning after a massive night when ive woken up and my mouth tastes like ive been fellating a dead rat.

i dont like labeling myself, so i try and avoid all labels.  however, as of recently i have been cutting way back.  after nearly two years of semi habitual marijuana consumption, along with random ofther prescription and illegal drugs i just stopped, nearly.  every few months i may take a hit or two of acid or smoke a bowl, but otherwise i have tried to refrain.  but if someone does want to label themselves, thats fine, but i guess i always though straight edge was somewhat of a scene, maybe i am/ was wrong though.

then your honestly not drinking enough. ive fallen asleep on chairlifts, passed out in lodges, fallen asleep driving home....sure i do it all the time- shit i did it 3 times a week at umass, but thats college life and drinking in college doesnt compare to anthing else. Now if your talkin about drinking then passing out early and gettin like 6 hours of sleep and then skiing then fuck ya ill do that, but i just cant handle any more 5am-6am-ers then skiing at 8-9am, its too much dude.

You shouldn't need some XTREME phrase like "Straight edge" to convince others that you are sober. How about "No, I don't like drugs/alcohol/cigs" If you are flaunting it, you most likely have some other issues and want some love and attention for your self exile. Fuck you, you aren't any saint.

that was one single person giving straight edge kids a hard time.  the rest of us seem to agree with the mantra of live and let live.  i do all kinds of stupid shit, smoke, drink, etc, but you aren't going to hear me rag on someone else because they won't take a puff off a joint or a pull off a fifth.  just because one person gave sXe kids a hard time doesn't mean you need to freak out.

as for the whole "you would most likely be found in a dumpster dead somewhere" part... woo-hoo.  if you can't live however you want to live and be secure enough in it that you can take shit from people for it, you're doing it for the wrong reasons.  i'm a stoner, people try rubbing my face in it all the time as though it's some "bad" thing, but who cares?  if your straight edge and someone gives you shit for it, big fucking deal.  if you're going to be so insecure that when someone pokes a little fun at you, you freak out, you need to get a grip on life.  who cares what one retard says about your lifestyle?  what do they know and who made them so important in your life that you're going to spend energy defending yourself against their ignorance?

bottom line- grow a thicker skin.  you talk like you're all hard and shit, but what i quoted is just a mean-sounding whine-fest.  if someone hates on you, who cares- fuck 'em.  what do they know?

i've been smoking weed for a long time and i bet there is only like 10 or 15 days out of the year that i don't smoke atleast a joint of bowl pack. however i make up for that the next day with a super fat blunt. whatever my point is that i started smoking way back in 7th grade and have been an on and off stoner since then. and since the first day of senior year, its been everyday. i'm not trying to brag but hey, i'm in college now and i have a part time job. I'M NOT IN SOME RANDOM DUMPSTER or some corny shit like you straight edge kids think. whatever, if you want to be straight edge, go ahead, thats your problem because your really missing out.

well ive never smoked, and i dont drink often. drinking just doesnt appeal to me very much, and im afraid that if i smoke, im going to like it and waste all the money that i dont even have on weed.

its pretty annoying because like 70% of my school drink/smokes on a regular ocassion, and thats all anyone ever talks about.

i dont drink or smoke at all, ive just seen too many people turn into complete fags because of drinking and smoking.  like the people who dont do anything at all but smoke, they leave school 3 times a day to get high and they have no life. and i definatly dont want to end up like that.  and i have three friends who have gotten dui's and one ran from the cops and now is in jail. they may have looked cool before that, but once they got fucked by the cops they just turned into complete loosers.  plus i hate the taste of alcohol.
i really have nothing against smoking or drinking,  i even think its retarded for weed and pretty much any drug to be illegal, same with underage drinking.  its just not for me.

hahaha the straightedge logo 'sXe ' reads 'sexy' i find that somewhat amusing.

a guy I know who is 'straightedge' was saying if you are straightedge, you can't have caffeine or any man made medicine, aside from all drugs and liquor. Only natural cures.

I don't really drink or smoke or party at all , and I do like some straightedge music. I think if you want to call yourself straightedge, tahts fine, but it really is just a catch phrase you hear around that doesn't mean a whole lot to me. And I think it is way overused.
