so i made this edit
and when i uploaded it to brightcove is wasnt as wide as the file as had saved
as seen here

so im to lazy to go change all that
but it would be good to know for later why it did that?
and how i can get the resolution to stay the same?

i had that happen to me too.  If you want to keep it widescreen open up a new project in your video editor and make the project 4x3 such as 720x480 i think it is, then drop your already rendered video into it and it'll make it look like its widescreen or letterboxed.

not sure if it will work, but if it does it'd save a lot of time. When exporting your file just mess with the resolution so that it becomes letterboxed. Like i said im not sure if it'll work, i've just been filming in 4:3

Hmmm it doesn't look like it was a problem with exporting, cause in your sample in irfanview the video is letter boxed and wide. When it's shown on the website it letterboxes horizontally. Weird, maybe bright cove doesn't support wide screen videos?

Try saving it onto another host, like youtube just to see how the letterboxes come out.

i did youtube first and the same thing happened


and then i put it on brightcove and it happened again so i just said fuck it haha
