Think Thank is the only snowboard film company that skiers will never follow.

Skiers simply cannot do the same creative tricks on small flatground features like snowboarders can.

This is why I snowboard in the early season when theres minimal snow.

thats kinda true and kinda not.  alot of that shit is possible and in the future alot more will be possible.  though there is some stuff that just plain old cannot be done on two sticks of any kind.
skiing is kinda learning what skiers and only skiers can do.  when my snowboarder friends watched idea they were saying how they wished some of the stuff they were doing was done on snowboards.  and they always say how skiing has the best grabs cause so much is possible having two boards instead of one. skiing has two boards, we can use that to our advantage. that doubles our possibilities in some ways, and takes away possibilities too.  so instead of crying about how we arent as good as snowboarding we need to do our own thing.
 
skiing cant copy snowboarding exactly, but its progressing so damn fast it could definatly get equal with it or even pass it up.  with all the new technology with skis like butter zones, rocker, dual camber, etc.... all just in the last couple years, skiing still has so much more to progress. and some crazy shit is gonna be possible/is possible.
the only thing really holding us back now is our attitude, ski movies are so extremely terrible at being fun to watch, it really realy really holds us back.  the give the sport a hardcore badass, feel, which is about the gayest "feel" a movie can have,  thats shit is for football, not skiing.   ski movie companies are so afraid of being creative and fun, it seems all they care about is doing the most epic crazy shit they can think of.  and i definatly think we have easily passed snowboarding on the "extreme" level,  now why not just have fun?
so yeah snowboarding is obviously progressing, but its slowing down,  skiing is progressing alot faster and its still speeding up, eventually, hopefully soon, we will catch snowboarding, mabye even pass it!

that what i was thinking.they just have so much more possibilitys when it comes to urban and flat land then we do.its cuz its so much easyer to bound around on 1 plank then two.that is defanitly the next level of snowboarding though and its goin to take us awile to catch up.

Yeah skiing will probably never be as good as snowboarding at urban and just flat ground stuff. The thing about skiing is we are better at grabs since we have two skis instead of one board. Like Charles octo grabs snowboarders can only dream of being able to do that. Skiing also has pretty much passed up snowboarding in pipe, we are going bigger and just doing sicker tricks. So for the most part skiing can get as good as an pass up snowboarding except for like urban and and all that crazy pressing and stuff. We can press but not to that degree that easily.

There are so many tricks that skiers aren't doing right now especially on flat ground, it's just that nobody has put the time into it to get good at it, there are so many possibilitys for tricks that no one has even though of

I think that second video proves that skiers need to stop hating on proggresive shit like 'rollerblade' grindsand drouble grabs.  new creative grinds and grabs that only skiers can do pushes our sport.  When I get out there this season I'm def gunna try some more creative tricks I've seen on ski videos and stuff and hopefully skiers can get away from the cork spin to win and spin onto a rail spin on the rail spin off the rail shit

well some of those rollerblade grinds are just retarded.  like when people cross their skis, drag their knee, etc.  its trying so hard to copy rollerblading, but we cant, skiing is skiing, people need to stop trying to copy other sports.

Wait, so cross ski grabs are ok but cross ski jibbing is not?

A lot of those progressive snowboarding tricks are direct crossover from skateboarding, if you feel that skiing shouldn't try to emulate rollerblading then what should we take after? There's only so much you can do before your tricks start looking like something else, in this case rollerblading. Anyway, I'm not trying to say we should all be doing rollerblade grinds on skis, I'm just saying that sooner or later the progress of skiing will include some influence from its closest non-snow neighbor that being, rollerblading.

skiiers definitely can but nobody bothers with it. skiiers will eventually get to a level that snowboarding is now but it takes the right people who want to focus on new things rather then people who are focusing on how many switchups they can get. now i would jsut like to say that the phenomenal hate on spin to win rail jams and stuff like that is gay...IF that is all you do. i can see where it would be fun to do stuff like that but its when it gets to the point where thats all your doing and thats all your focusing on, then and only then is the hate justified. im just over the whole hate from either sides. its all about moderation... and not caring what everyone else is doing and doing it yourself. if you want to see more tricks of 'this and this' then start doing them and get it out there. dont try and force it on others. sorry for detracting from the whole 2' flatground tricks and this was by no means a attack on the guy i replied but it just sparked something in my brain i have been thinking about for sometime.

Why does everyone care about which sport is progressing faster? And skiing is better cuz it looks steezier than snowboarding does. But anyway...I had been meaning to ask you guys earlier but I just didnt until now. WHY ARE THERE SNOWBOARDERS ON HERE??? ITS A SKIING WEBSITE! What can snowboarders gain by being a part of this website, besides inflated egoes from thrashing on skiiers all the time?
