Binding question

Do I want my bindings to have vertical release? i'm looking at some new fks 155's and i know for a fact that they do not have vertical toe release.  Is that good or bad? it seems like everyone is praising these bindings.  What other bindings have vertical release? is that something i should look out for? (ps i havent gone binding shopping in a LONG time)

It's a feature that could potentially injury you or potentially save a release. Depends how you ski.

The old FKS 120 was 12 DIN with the same heel but a vertical release toe like the P12 and PX12.

Yeah, I would never ride the 155's as they dont have the verticle release. I ride at an 8/9, so I could have gone with the 120's or 155's, but the 120s have the verticle release, so I went with them.

so basically if i wanna play it safe i should get bindings with vertical release? i ski everything from pipe to powder, and i wanna get a binding that can handle everything.  i'm 6'0'', 180lbs, 20 years old and an experienced skier.  do you guys know if 4frnt or look bindings have vertical release?

The top one or two 4FRNT bindings have a "lockout" option so you can choose.
