So they have levels of different gear
Hydro
Road
Nirto
Rocket
Their ratings for each category are going down.
Rof example
last years nitro fuel had ratings of 15k waterproofness, now this years is only rated at 10k.
and road fuel was 10k/10k last year and the year before, whereas now it is only 6k/6k.
Here is a link to this years ratings:
http://oakley.com/customer_service/to
This might clear up a few things because when people give a rating for what they are selling it will mean a different thing for different years.
Now I think this is correct, however there might actually be some variances wtaerproofness/breathability in each level of gear.

The thing that made me realize is that my paratrooper was road fuel and rated 10k/10k. that's what it says on the reg Oakley tag that came attached to the coat. Yet it also says road fuel, and on the website road fuel says 6k/6k, so the ratings for this year must be different from the previous ones.
Another interesting thing is that. Oakley did away with the red cloth material tags and now they just have the cardboard/plastic ones for 08 gear. And on these tags it says road fuel is 10k/10k for certain things, and these same things on the website say that the same gear is 6k/6k.
So something is going on and as of now I'm trusting the website, but there is a possibility that the ratings weren't updated online, whereas the tags are updated to provide accurate info. I might send Oakley an email but I'm really busy so I most likely won't get around to it.

Well I still think their gear is great quality. The coats I've never had a problem with.
Some of the pants have weak outer layers, but not all of them.
The problem here is misinformation, I don't want this to turn into a hate thread.
