P12 Racing Jig

I just bought a pair of the P12 racing bindings (fks style) and was wondering if it requires a special jig. I don't know much about jigs, but do you need one that is different from others for this binding? Rare by any chance? I think my local shop has a Look Pivot jig but I don't know if that will work. Have I made a mistake?

Unless you plan on mounting them yourself don't worry about it, that's why they do the mounting for you...you drop off and pick up and let them worry about the jigs.

It is pretty much standard on any jig for look.....

Actually, that isn't the right jig, haha.
That's the P-series jig, not the FKS/Turntable jig.
The tech will know this though...that's why you take it in and let them do the mount.

yeah im sure they are separate jigs - i think the axium has a different jig too

haha wrong jig buddy!
The same jig they use for the standard look bindings i.e. PX has the holes for the pivot race bindings as well. So if they can mount normal look and rossi bindings then they can mount your race bindings

Nice bryce, you pumped for the bindings?

Just to add, there were 4 shops in my city that are able to mount look/rossi, but none could mount the FKS bindings. 2 shops had never seen or heard of them, on reace shop refused to mount them on anything but race skis, and the last shop said they could, but werent quite sure if they knew how.

I ended up getting them mounted 4 hours away while I was at the ski show.

Just goes to show that not all shops have the jig, or an experienced tech. However, you live in Vancouver, where the ski market is much, much larger than here in Sudbury.

Yeah, the owener is a huge homo about stuff like that. The other workers are really nice and friendly, but the owner is always angry and really rude.

Thanks lyndon, yeah I'm stoked. Now I just need to wait for them to come and then hope someone will mount them for me!
