Confused about mounting forward...

All these threads and talk of pros mount mounting forward of center confuse me. Call me a noob or whatever I don't care, but does forward of center literally mean forward of true center? Because that makes very little sense to me.

Yes it does. I am pretty sured the only ski with the recommended forward of center is The Dumonts

Unless they recommend mounting them forward of center, don't.

I went 1cm forward on my T-Halls, and 2cm forward on my ar6's. My sprayers are mounted centre. I dunno, I like them mounted forward because riding switch is a lot better, as well, once you mount past the reccomened mark, you have already destroyed the sidecut, so why not just go all the way?
