Why? What's the point?
Here's a common example.
'that's no lincoln. that's just a sideflip'
There is such a fine line between the tricks. And this is a good thing - it allows us to be creative and express ourselves uniquely. Everyone has their own style. Their own way of doing things.
If you haven't noticed, there is no definitive freestyle tricks handbook.
(at least not yet). There is no written guidebook that came with your skis.
When people limit tricks to just being one way, staying inside the texbook definition of what they know, they limit creativity and their imagination.
Why not let your body flow with whatever tricks you like doing? Experiment with different axis' and different timing. See what works for you. Don't worry about the textbook tricks, try to think outside the box.
Once you think outside the box there is room to invent new ways of doing things; things people haven't seen before.
Our sport is FreeStyle
Break that down.
Free - Unobstructed; clear; no restraints
Style -The way in which something is said, done, expressed, or performed
There are countless variations on misty's. Why do some people feel that there way is the one and only right way?
'Oh, because Tanner told me so'
You may call it one thing, Tanner may call it another, and your crazy one eyed uncle Fred may call it something completely different.
What makes any of them right?
Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.
