Going clean ?

I'm going clean. No alcohol, no green. 6 weeks. This is when my semester ends. I am doing it for several reasons. 1) the main reason i did it was to lengthen my study time. I just got mid terms back and having saturday and sunday mornings to study rather then lay in bed till dinner time will be of great essence. 2) Save money. I'm dropping 40~ a week right now on booze, and 30~ on green. 70 x 6 = 420 bucks. haha 420 wow thats ironic. 420 can buy you a new set up, a season pass, alot of stuff.

Basically my question is has anyone ever done this. Is it really that hard to do?

Yes. It will be hard. But it's not that bad after the first couple days.

i have recetnyl cut down the amount that i smoke, i only smoked monday, and yesterday of this week and it was only twice each day, that was pretty rough for me. I am not blazing this entire weekend which may be rough, so im gona drink hard

Not smoking weed was easy for me, I don't see a point spending all the cash on it when I'd rather drink. Now as for quiting drinking, I can see myself doing that. Friday and Saturday nights are like if you don't drink you're just gonna sit in your dorm and watch everyone else drink, then go to a party and watch more people drink.

I'm gonna stop smokin so much during the winter because I'm a diver and I need to be able to catch my breath but the weekends with all my ski friends aren't gonna count...

40 bucks a week on alcohol is alot you must have been buying expensive stuff. or you could buy a kegerator and keep a keg in your closet will save you money..
oh yeah and smoking weed is underated

just cut back a bit, wont be hard to cut back from 70 bucks a week, I ddont even know how you do that, that is 2 40s and a bowl of good weed every day, how do you spend that much

no offense, but you arent gonna be able to give up drinking or smoking completely that easily with that as your only compulsion.  speaking from experience.  I think you should just cut back and stop spending that much money thats ridic

i smoked multiple times per day last year and drank an average amount on weekends, and I never spent anywhere close to that much

maybe you should try quitting drinking first, just smoke a bit more for a time, and then cut down on green a bit gradually.

I actually quit drinking and smoking about 5 weeks back, trying to hold it until new years. I feel better, and I definately remember more shit than I used to.

Skiing's not a bad option here...

And yeah, just think about all the shiny new ski equipment you could buy with that money. Or lift tickets. Or gas money to drive to other slopes.

i dont drink often so i dont spend money on alcohol but does it seem like 30 bones a week on bud isnt all that expensive though? i havent smoked in 2 months but when i used to 30 bones wouldnt even get you an 8th and an 8th would only last about 3 maybe 4 or 5 on good days

no, what is pussy is dropping up to $210 on alcohol a week, that is beat as fuck. Who the hell drinks stella as a pre gaming beer, you deserve to be broke as shit if you spend that much to get drunk just a few times a week, and you drop 60 bucks in a bar in a night. honestly, drink some cheap or at least semi cheap beer, cause there is an issue if you drink 6 beers and are still able to drop 60 at a bar in a night. And finally, if you drink 2 colt 45s or 40s of OE and dont get a little drunk, you have some issues because that is equal to the alcohol content of like 13 beers.

not smoking weed is easy, not drinking is a different matter. i stopped drinking for about 3 months about a year ago, id fully reccomend doing it, it forces you to have a good night without alcohol, something a lot of people cant do. but yeah, i was on a massive health/gym fitness mission, and it went hand in hand with that.
theres no damn way i would have lasted 6 months though.

Clean for 2 years, best decision I ever made. It is completely worth it.  If you are in school it is even more worth it.
