the fee is bullshit. Discounts are stupid.. Christy's, but only the boulder store (which sucks), BC surf and sport... pretty much all snowboarding stuff. The board of directors are a bunch of assholes who only care about themselves. And it's way too big... way too many members. The only good thing about the club is meeting other people, and why should I pay for that.. when I can do it for free?

while i do agree the discounts aren't amazing for someone who knows the industry, there are some good proforms. and have you chilled with the BOD, they are some really fun people who spend a shitload of their time putting the trips together. and the fee pays for itself if you win one hoody at a general meeting...

the only reason i joined boulder freeride freshman year was to meet people for rides and stuff, if i had known about NS it would have been completely pointless to join...plus i met enough people on my own within the first couple of weeks, i basically didnt participate in the club again for the rest of the year

Their trips are a pretty epic deal. Jackson hole was the trip of a life time when I was in college and a steal back then for like 300 bucks for 4 days of riding lodging

Honestly yes for the most part pointless. However, I have taken away hundreds of dollars worth of free shit from them so its definitely worth it in my opinion. If you actually go to their shit, which no one does, you WILL win free shit. Good enough for me, plus the decals are nice and colorful
