i think seth is doing most for our sport. i don't see many other riders that are taking newschool into the backcountry, and throwing down as hard as he is. and i mean real backcountry, not booters(not to say that booters arent backcountry, i'm just making my point). sure tanner and some other guys can throw down like hell in the park but its getting old now and seth is refreshing the sport and taking it to a whole new level, there will be more in his footsteps, you watch. Seth is leading the new newschool movement, and it will be a grand one.

yeah for sure, Seth is sick. I don't like riding park because it promotes poor skiing. I'm not saying that people who ride the park are bad skiers, not at all. I'm just saying that you don't have to be a good skier to ride the park. You have to be an expert to ride double blacks and backcountry stuff. booters are tons of fun, but dropping cliffs is so much funner.

douglas is sick again. the new freeze about backcountry progression is really good. seth calls douglas a pussy though, its hilarious. morrison, pollard and douglas are doing the most for our sport right now

it seems like a good idea to flatten out the hit (douglas) if you're running the same area more than once, but i like how morrison can just ski down something, and throw huge tricks off of totatlly natural stuff........

Let's wait to see some new movies before saying stuff like 'Seth is the only guy taking it to the backcountry'. If pics in the new Powder are any indication of what we're gonna see, Seth and Douglas aren't the only ones who are into it. Seth is insane though...rodeos off 80-90 footers anyone???

Turn for turn there are thousands of skiers just as good as Seth, but where he stands appart is in his ability to throw himself off clifs. People like Jermey Nobis amd Dean Cummings are nicer skiers to watch minus the whole clif huck aspect. Seth manages to capture the media with his extra-ordianry clif hucks. MOST (not all his of his tricks, his laied out backs are quite nice) of his clif tricks are quite ugly. I havent seen his stuf this season so im basing this on his last season tricks.

Meh, I dunno if he's progressing the sport that much. He's just doing easy tricks that have already been done off of massive cliffs. yes it takes balls, and yes, he is the best big mountain skier BY FAR, but I wouldnt really call it progression as much as CRAZINESS.

but he's the only one doin it... and it's crazy... and he looks at least as good if not better than dean or davenport... especially since the injury. mckonkey is a bit different with the technicality of his lines. i havent seen much of the new guys like sage... but anyway, seth is definitely on top of the game... plus theres the espy...

I dunno, I guess he is progressing the sport, but personally, I dont care where teh sport progresses. Well, I do and I don't, heres my reasoning. I think the only reasons i would crae about progression is because then I can watch what these guys are doing and its entertaining. Also I guess it oculd be for respect from other sports, but I dont really give a fuck what other people think. Personally, I hate watching seth segments, its just boring, its crazy and I have TONS of respect for him and what he does is absolute madness but I dont find myself quite entertained watching it, Id much rather watch a nice park line by Olsson or Tanner. I only care about entertainment and my own progression. I dont care what some guys who I will never even talk to can do.

how can what Seth is doing NOT be called progession. The park scene won't die. Seth does huge backflips off huge cliffs (ski movie), Seth does a huge lincoln loop off a huge cliff (ski movie 2) Seth throws a Rodeo 7 off a huge cliff (Ski Movie 3) Seth lands a Rodeo 7 off a huge cliff (Focused), how is that not progession? He PROGESSES from one trick to another. I've never seen anybody else do a lincoln off a cliff like Seth does. Nor have I seen a Rodeo 7. I can't wait to see Mike D's cork 7 though
