i can do back flips, and backflip 180's on a tramp, how much diff is it off a divng board, or better yet off a jump?

uhhh, not really, just make sure you jump forward and not straight up. and off a jump just look through the forum and there are like a million threads on that.

gainers are so hard to get down. i can do bios, corks, misties, worked on rodeos and d-spins and stuff, but cant get those dumb gainers

i can do doubles with everything except inwards. those are hard. and as far sas ski stuff goes, i can do most everything, but when i get on the sno, its totally differnet. maybe its cuase im good at diving, and kay at skiing.

i knew this kid who said he could do gainers easy, and thats all he talked about for a week, then we went to the pool, he tried a gainer, almost bashed his head on the board and landed flat on his face and body, he was red the rest of the day, the moral is...... dont talk shit lol

we have an all american diver at our school or something. He can do these flippy spinning things that are so sweet.

A big difference for me is in the pop.

The diving board automatically creates the pop for you; while on skis you have create the pop.

This has it's good and bad points on the diving board.

The spring forces your legs to go up and whips your body around.
Good point: it'll take alot less effort to flip.
Bad point: It's hard not to whip tricks around. Corks are different. You can't lean hard off the diving board at the beginning otherwise you'll probably end up flipping.

think about jumping out normal and then when in the air do the trick.
Don't set the trick hard before you are off the diving board.

Diving boards aren't as scary as tramps.
High dives can be intimidating, so they are the exception.

On a diving board I am willing to just huck myself and try anything - even if I know I can't land it. because worse case scenario - I end up slapping. and slapping doesn't hurt that bad
(ok, you can hit your head on the diving board or the swimming pool walls.. but I don't worry about that).

Now, on a trampolean I am less likely to just huck myself. Because if I screw up I can land on my neck, hit the bar, or fall off the tramp and get jacked.

whoever says u cant get hurt from a diving board is wrong, i almost fucking died after i got a 3rd degree concussion and fractured some bones in my back and neck just from hitting the water, it sucked, skiinjected was there, but he left and didnt tell anyone so i almost died fking bitch, but anyways ....good times

Diving boards are so much more helpful than tramps for learning tricks. I can credit repetition on a diving board allowing me to land flatspin 5s and 7s first attempt on skis.

how did u almost die from water my first gainer i tried was off a 40 foot cliff and i landed on my head/neck and everything got sparkly but i was ok just blood blisters n stuff

on a friends 2 foot diving board, i can misty, bio5, flatty5 and almost lincoln..the diving board is crack and the wood holding it to the deck is sagging so it's lost all its spring, we can still work it though

just pop straight up then look back for the cork just make sure you get away from the board
as soon as you guys can do a flair to misty 7 in one jump come talk to me about diving boards becuase i will fucking spank everyone of you off the 3 metre spring

on corks: drop your shoulder across, but not down. because of the pop, if you throw your shoulder down you will go into a misty or will just plain look foolish. you need to throw you shoulder (for most people their right shoulder across their left side) and continue. i find that i come out of a cork 5 naturally, but if i go for 7 or 9 i need to actually think about the landing. i hope that helped

gainers take some time to get down. jump sideways on the board and do a backflip. then do that only looking forwards. you have to bring up your knees to your chin and look back. it is a sweet trick to do on a diving board

I did a gainer perfectly the first time, just try to over roatate and you'll be fine, its not hard just might take you a little time. so man up grow some balls and thats the end of my rhyme

yeah gainers arent very hard, just take your time and when you hit the board, you're pushed out anyuways so you just tuck your knees up and tilt backwards. don't throw your head back or you'll get pretty hurt.

i do this thing where i jump a 180 and land on the end of the board, then rodeo 7 and 9 backwards. One day i slipped and smashed my knee. Very interesting pain
