finally a cult i can relate to. its been a long toyota road for me. I build all my trucks myself and i also build trucks for others during my spare time. I have built 6 crawlers for friends and i have owned lets see.... my first was my D/D 92 4runner to get me to the mountains, then i got a solid axled 85 4runner 4in lift 33s (rolled), got an 89 2wd to DD once i got rid of my '92, then somewhere in the mess i picked up an 85 xtracab and thats what i wheel now. Im from CT but moved to Colorado so i just picked up an '04 4runner to tow my crawler out to CO this summer. My other builds were all Solid Axle Conversions. Any locals let me know if you want any work done.
the general specs on my 85xtracab.. flatbed, 5.29 gears, aussie locker front, v6 detriot locker rear, longfield 30 spline
birfs and hub gears, all pro 4340 chromoly rear shafts, '92 rear
housing, dual cases, high angle rear driveshaft, square front d-shaft,
lots of dents, helicopter shifter, armor, Rears up front springs and Marlin rear springs, 92 4runner bucket seats, twin sticks on my rear transfer case, rock lights. i think thats it but heres some pics from the past years.
