Trunker treating

anyone ever heard of this
is basically where a bunch of mormon moms and evangelists and over protective whores
go to a parking lot at a church or something and park the cars in a line and the kids go to their trunks and ask for candy
its gay
my neighborhood has always been a good spot until about three years ago when this shit caught on
its basically ruined trick or treating in boise
i only got about 20 kids come this year where years past we got 100-300
im 16 so it doesnt affect me since i dont go anymore but its still gay
this shit go on at any of your towns ?

so they still dress up and basicially do the exact same ammount of halloween "devil worship" as they would normally, but the fun is sucked out because they forced everyone into the church parking lot?

yeah parents are way too over protective today.  honestly i think id rather get taken into some creepy guys house and get butt fucked, than live life having no fun, no independence, and no life at all.  and if i was a parent i would feel the same way about my kids.  taking risks and bad shit happening is a part of life, and life it a good part of life.
its funny when i was like 8 or so, which really wasnt that long ago, we would go blow shit up, light things on fire, shoot bunnies and prarie dogs with bb guns, we would sleep outside miles away from our houses without our parents knowing or caring. one time we spent 8 hours in a sewer system and ended up like 10 miles from our house. and my parents didnt give a shit where i was or what i was doing. and its funny cause we still do crap like that now and my parents call me more, and care about what im doing now more than they did when i was like 8.
and its funny with my little brother, all his fun is with parents now, like the parents take them to some place and watch them all the time,  they only play team sports with parents there all the time.  everything they do is with parents, its like child abuse. its fucking wrong.

As a sidenote on mormons...they are fucked.

Aight so the mormons didn't used to be allowed to drink any caffiene in beverages.  Then the mormon church bought a large amount of shares in the coke company.  They then changed their rules so that mormons could drink caffinated beverages...as long as they were cold.  HOW FUCKED IS THAT.  Fuckin cunt ass hoes.

and while I'm hatin I'll also say that mormons set up a meeting with out Turkish exchange student yesterday.  She is Islamic (non practicing though) and she didn' know what to tell them.  I told her to tell them to fuck off and go suck a dick.  If they need to actively convert people their religion obviously has a lot of flaws.

So fuck the church of latter day saints.  Most mormons can go choke on a dick.
Oh and they aren't pro choice, and they are against pre maritial sex, and BC, and anything fun.  so fuck them.

Wow, if your parents had no clue where you were, or what you were doing when you were 8, they should be smacked around hardcore. I bet if they found you lying face up naked in a ditch somewhere, then they would care.

Damn, that sucks.  trick or treating was always the best in my town.  It was my favorite.

When I was like 10 I started to go without parents, and me and my friend whom I had know since kindergarten would run all over town hitting up all the houses.  We'd get a full pillowcase of candy.  Then after we were done we went to the bar where our parents had been "waiting" for us.

i agree, and disagree. i know that when i'm a parent and have kids i will probably think a little differently and i agree with you. but i will never and i mean never be the parent that doesn't let their kid do anything. i also will never be that parent that doesn't give a shit. truthfully you are setting your kid up for failure both ways. if you don't let them do anything, when they go to college i can almost guarantee that they are going to end up drinking every night, smoking mad weed etc. now the kid that is allowed to do anything does this all the time and won't even get into college. if you can just take a middle approach to those your kid will be "experienced enough" to know his/her limits etc. i mean i smoke tree occasionally, but i still won't let me kids if i caught them i wouldn't be too mad but still. i'm now just rambling on so i'm gonna quit...

No, I agree with you Shawn. What I was saying is if I had to choose between being an overprotective parent, or a parent who doesn't care...I would choose being overprotective. No way in hell would my 8 year old be running around town where I didn't know where they were, what they were doing, or who they were with. That's complete bullshit. An 8 year old needs supervision, no question. There is a certain extent in which you allow you child freedoms. They earn their freedoms as they get older.

in Milwaukee they had designated trick or treating times, during daylight of course, like 2-4 on a saturday afternoon, its real whack.


When i was trick or treating we went out at 7pm at night on Halloween no matter the day of the week, no matter the weather, that was in Mass though, Western cities always have all these "planned" activities to make things safer, its pretty dumb if you ask me.

haha thats weird. they usually only do trunker treating for american exchange students outside of the US. My cousins did it at their school in england when they moved there, i thought that was just something they did over there but i guess they do it here? weird

i dont know i was probably closer to 10 or so but whatever, some bad shit did happen, but i ended up totally fine. its not that my parents just didnt care about me at all, they just let me do whatever i wanted really, it was cool cause i could tell them about bad shit we did and they would just laugh. cause think about it, you can either be cool parent and let your kids do whatever and you will sorta know whats going on.  or you can be an overprotective parent and do everything with your kids, but when they go do something by themselves there is no way they are gonna tell you anything.  even if you want to protect your kids, being overprotective isnt any more safe,  cause your kids are never going to talk to you about what is really going on when your not around.

good bump, maybe trick or treating is dangerous, i mean, when i was young some older kids ( who shouldn't have been trick or treating) took my candy so i went home and told my dad.  he went into the garage and grabbed a hockey stick and we both got in the car.  we found the kids walking along a busy road and my dad parked by the curb jumped out with the hockey stick and chased them across the lawn near this apartment building, one of the kids yelled 'hooooly shit he's got a hockey stick' and they all started running (about 6 of them).  they dropped my candy and one kid was so scared he dropped his, so  i came out on top.  fuck ill never forget that.  dad is so cool.

I believe you mean Mid-West.  Milwaukee is a little bit Northwest of Chicago and Chicago is Mid-West.  I live in Cali and they don't have a stupid ass rule like that.

we did this at school today. got out of a period and the elementary school kids came to our cars and got candy which was pretty cool. but for the real trick or treating we don't do that shit.

This year when all the little kids from the local daycare came around school we weren't allowed to give them candy.  We had to give them stickers and pencils, fuckin stupid if you ask me.

Man I grew up in the boonies, where only like every other house would even have candy and for like 6 years in a row, it snowed halloween night, but damn it, I was out there past my bedtime with just kids, having a fucking blast.  I dont care much for the holiday anymore, but christ its a nessicary part of growing up!

The funny thing is, when traced back to it's roots halloween was an early Christian-related holiday. celebrating a new season. (I forget the exact details, but that's the gist of it)
