does anyone else do this? i have done this for the last few years with a group of friends, and last year we collected 1800lbs of food for the area food shelfs.. and this year we collected around 2000lbs... our local town is only 600 people and we go to every house
i cant be the only one on NS who does this so lets hear your stories.

we are seniors in HS and all our brothers are a few years younger who help to
we take a ATV and trailer
(plus my friends parents own the local coffee shop)
so people know we are legit and not just stealing food

yes about the food, and when people find out what we are doing they usually give us handfuls of candy for everyone in our group
so its a win win!!

Im more of a habitat for humanity kind of guy, door to door collections just ain't my thing, but hey, to each his own!
nothing feels better than volunteer work or collecting for charity...if you have never done either, I suggest trying it!
