hello ns i am doing an independent project for my senior year where i basically get to go travel and ski...in order to do this i need to gather some legit resources...which i don't have
if any one knows of any legit books about ski design....evolution of the ski industry....development of marketing in the ski industry.....the history of a major ski company such as k2 or rossignol.
along with this i am also studying mountain sustainability..how ski resorts are trying to cut down there economic impact, and saving energy and recycling and composting and all of that jazz...if any one has some legit sources it would be nice if they could post them on this thread or just pm...plz dont post things that are irrelevant because i dont really want to scroll through random shit
sincerely michael atterbury

depends where you live, but you could probably call up factories like line and k2 and tell them this, and could probably arrange a tour and an interview. that will probably get you really far.

I don't think many ski resorts are trying to cut down their economic impact...
As far as environmental impact, the vast majority of what you hear about is for marketing purposes only. Most ski resorts make mad loot from real estate development, which is where the largest part of their environmental impact comes from anyways.
I'm interested to hear whether you find much in the way of really legitimate progress on reducing environmental impact. Please update this with anything interesting.
