so im curently in math 10 principles and im doin really bad.The last test i did i know i failed and i wasent even close to passing.I try pretty hard but im starting to give up because its so hard for me.my question is should i stay in principles and not get a very good mark and have a little chance of passing or should i just go into applications so i can get a b or better.goin into apps will affect me in the long run for sure but i dont want to fail math 10.i know im goin to have to switch next year because it will get even harder so idk what to do.
well if it will affect you then whatever opportunities it opens will assume two things 1) you know the material and can apply it and 2) the class was hard, but you were able to handle it. so if it is too hard, i bet that its gonna get even harder in the futere and ur probably gonna fall further behind
Get someone who knows what they're doing to help you. Math 10 really isn't that hard, and by taking the applied route your limiting our career choices immensely. If you don't understand the stuff in Math 10 you'll never be able to succeed in any higher math classes.
I know, im hopeless when it comes to math.
somehow my mind forgets math in like 0.2 seconds.
I have a tutor and I went and saw my teacher for extra help on many occasions all year and sat down with him and did some practise for 2 hours before my midterm.. felt confident as I was doing well with his assistance. then when it came time to get down to business with the midterm in like a blink of an eye I forgot everything I had just worked on and im pretty positive I failed it. like 90% sure I failed it.
sooooo pissed.
im awful at math, but i've never been in a position where i actually couldn't do it, im just lazy. Have you tried studying with your friends, that helps me so much, that and making sample problems by myself, b/c then you need to know the material to make the problem and to solve it...I dont know what Math 10 is, im only a sophmore in high school, i take algebra 2 trig, but yea, if you are trying hard and putting time in and not getting results, than you should switch because it won't reflect anything
I think by math 10 he means sophomore math aka 10 = the grade level.
And math has always been a bitch for me. I'm a senior right now and in pre-calc and i try my hardest and study for tests and pay attention in class and go in for help but i still get a D. pisses me off..
I sucked at math in highschool, but scored really well on the math portion of my SATs. I got to college and got a B in calc. I wouldnt even worry about it in highschool. Go get stoned.
