why is everyone on NS so damn rude?  like 30 kids have already said shout at people, or talk about rude things with people you dont know.  i just dont enjoy making other people mad or sad or uncomfortable,  most of these kids on here sound like 12 year old jerks.  very un-skier-ish if you ask me.  i hate when im riding and i hear kids shouting from the lift.  

and i usually just tell jokes with my friends, talk to the random people, or just relax and think about my runs

and btw, that guy who suggested the hookah is a huge moron

ANYWAYS, talk with my friends, if I'm solo listen to music, budget, think, write, whatever i never find time to do in normal life. Smoke a cig if it doesnt bug the others on the chair, cheer if i see something sweet thrown.

swing chair, put pole straps on skis and see if i can get them back before lift is over, watch my friend be a dick and punch people, yell at people to do crazy shit, laugh at them when they fall, swing chair, tell kids they suck or rule(depending on how i feel)

not a good idea.. a lift can actually come off the tracks if it's bouncing enough... i've never seen it happen but its what i've always been told..

I'll end up riding single on the big pow days, so I just talk to the people on the lift, see whats up. I ended up scoring a pbr one time outta this dudes backpack just by chatting, it was sweet.

Its true.. the cable comes off and lands on a safety piece..  Lift usually shuts down right away (sensors) and then everyone gets alot more time to do shit when your chillin for like 30 min.

I've come to the conclusion that the majority of NS are assholes.

Spitting on people? Yelling shit at people? Telling people they suck when they are doing something they enjoy and trying things? Weak ass shit if you ask me.

I usually just relax, and think about things if I'm solo. if I'm with strangers, I'll chat it up with them about anything. It's fun to talk to different people about skiing and get their views on it.

I rode up with a 70 year old guy last winter during the week, and he was an avid skier. Getting out 1-2 times every week. It was awesome.

UM.... I try NOT to be an immature twat...... Seriously, if some punk kid tried to pull that shit on me, I'd make them bite the rail and STOMP!!

We do most of our blazing on the lift unless its super windy or dumping snow. Drink some beers, and just chill. Scope lines... I love talking to randoms on the lift. We met this old dude from Manhattan last year on an epic pow day, its interesting to hear their views on things.

try to hammy a brew before the halfway point up, considering we have a high speed lift on a 350 ft hill, it gets to be quite a challenge.

I had a wierd "It's a small world" moment on the lift once when I was talking to an old guy. I'm from just below the poconos in PA and we went all the way up to Mt. Orford in quebec. I get on the morning lift with a 75 yr old dude and we start to chat, he finds out where I'm from and proceeds to tell me about his honeymoon over fifty years ago that he spent in the Poconos. I couldn't believe someone would come all the way down from canada for the poconos resorts.


It's not that cool of a story actually.
