Ski Size

Hey. I know, I hate these threads too, but i need imput.

ok, I have a pair of Salomon 1080 Flyers and they are 161's. My height is 5'7" and i was just wondering if you guys think that i am too tall for my skis. I have been skiing park seriously for about 2 years.

Little short, you should have at least a 170.

PERSONAL PREFERENCE

Only you know what length ski you want.

I personally would want something around 170 if I was your height, but that's me.

they are now about up to my nose... fyi.. 171's would be above my head. my ski shop told me last year when i bought them they recommended them to be around forehead height.  just personal preference eh?

Yeah. General guidelines are good though. Obviously a 200cm would be too long, and a 150 would be too short, but within a certain range, it's like ski stiffness, personal preference.

Try riding a longer ski, and see if you like it more.

the flyers are a junior ski?????? what ever your height is in inches x 2.54 that's your ski size if you're going to mt them center. Unless you want to look like this... Click for larger image

ha, no i know all that measurement stuff, 161's are at my nose/chin, and the 171's are slightly above my head. mhmmm

i guess i need a vote. What does everyone wear their skis at:

who where says skis head height or higher?
How here says chin/nose length?

if you have been skiing park seriously for 2 years you should know longer skis are better, faster more stable, eaiser to land jumps. it's no contest. they should be as tall as you.
