The Snowbird TRAM Cult

If anyone wants in, just ask.  Its a sick cult for two of the greatest ski areas in the Lower 48 - Snowbird and Alta.  Lets get it up and runnin again, ski seasons a comin!

im gonna say that you should back up what you're saying with something, b/c to me, snowbird is the most legit place anywhere: i love the people, i love the skiing, i love the snow, and i love the atmosphere

Don't get me wrong, Ill always have a place in my heart for the bird.

Ive had season there for past 5+ years.

Even though locals represent almost 50% of the bird's revenue, they are continuously tossed under the buss (or tram, whatever) in exchange for bringing in new, non-domestic tourism.  Fine, its business, but that doesn't mean i have to like, or support it.

So, instead, I'm relying on shop passes, and invested the money i would have used on a tram pass on an a/t set up.

There is nothing in the world like catching first tram on a 3 foot powder day at the bird,
but if you think that the resort is being run in a manner that is productive to locals/ especially college kids, your either ignorant, or just plain stupid.

^true, i'll agree with that and I see the truth in it, but from my view, thats just business, and the greatness of Snowbird, at least for me, isn't in the way people treat me or the money i pay - its the skiing and the snow that are great.  In my opinion, i love the way people act around there, and i love the atmosphere, but thats just me and I don't pay anything to go there: our family takes an annual trip there, so I can see how someone older would be upset by that, but yeah
