no, but u need to tell the shop so they will use shorter screws.
the green things aren't the same as risers, they really just give a little extra cushion so they're no big deal. People say that ur binding won't fall apart as fast with them on but idk about that. so ya w/e.

i doubt i'd need a shorter screw set...the rubber isnt as thick as a riser plate so a little touch on the grind wheel should be enough for the screws that come with em.

no, i found a thread a while back from kid who didn't use the short screws (same bindings) and he said he could see the indent of the screws coming through the bases.

I have a pair of the light blue and orange PX12's...they came with green and red riser pads....got them mounted today on my Reno Jibs without the pads and with shorter screws...you definitely have to use shorter screws!
