So after school today, I didnt call my dad to check in before going to a nearby hill to shred on my snowboard (I dont have any skis at the moment, plus snowboaring is rad!)

When I get home, he starts flipping out and saying all this stuff. He says he's not going to let me ski until December, I'm not allowed to go on any out of state trips, blah blah blah, then he told me to get out. I am just a few months shy of having my license, so as you can see, this is a problem.

After school tomarrow, I'm going to grab all my stuff and run away. I could stay at a freind's dorm room, or my mom's house, which is empty because shes in New York until Sunday.


Anyways, any advice? I'm fretting over whether or not I should bring my cat. He has threatened to kill it before when he got pissed off.

screw that I'm bringing him. I'm also changing my NS name so he can't google it and find this post. Gots to be careful!

Oh and is it illegal to run away? I wouldn't be suprised if he called the cops again.

you know if you run away they will check my place first. so you should probably sleep in the volvo or i have a tent you could post up in. we could take you to the mountains tomorrow and you could build a snow cave and then mittens could hunt ptarmigan for you and we could pick you up in a week or so.

Be a man and confront him about it. Show your dad that you are mature enough to be an individual, and don't run away! That's a bitch thing to do. Just think about why you are running away in the first place. Your dad yelled at you (seemed like an overreaction), and forbid you from skiing til december, and going on out of state trips. Is that really a reason to leave home? Just talk to him about it. Apologize.

nah nah all is cool now.

Running away from there isnt a really big deal. My brother and I have done it before. If he's going to act like a little immature boy, I'm not going to argue; I'm just going to peace out until he's cool beans.

Don't be one yourself.

Don't "run away." Simply go stay with a friend or relative that lives close by, and give each other time to cool off.
