Shits ballin... its really good much better than last years. more skiing and super sick skiing at that. Cam Schuster is in it so its a must buy. joshs gting is sick. margetts' double cork 9 is really neato.
Just buy the movie ull like it + its cam schuster i mean should i say more?
went to the premier, blown away, purchased a copy on the spot. but i was also wasted so im gonna have to giver a sober viewing before i can give a solid critique
I've watched it about 10 times now and it is such a sick movie. I'm friends with the voleurz crew so my review is a little bias, but they really pulled out all the stops for More for the Astronauts.
I wont say too much about the Snowboard part since this is newshcoolers, but it's really solid. Lots of nice backcountry hucks and cliff drops. One of the highlights were the huge cornice hucks to pillow tail taps. awesome.
The skiing segment is just ridiculous. The whole part is really high energy and cut together really well. I loved TJ and Dumonts part together, even though it was pretty short, but they do some insane stuff in the blackcomb part. The Am riders really stepped up though. Joe Schuster goes so big in this movie and has a legit segment. Cam Schuster's part was dope too. Sooo smooth and stylie and it's not just one hit cut after another, but he throws down a sick line in the silverstar park. Bibby throwing down on the Whistler Glacier at sunset in the summer on hellbents is pretty sick too! There's plenty of ski talent in this film including, Chris Turpin, Matt Margetts, Justin Dorey, Josh Stack, Riley Leboe, and a bunch more. There's tons of park hits and some cool rails, but I would say the majority of stuff on the skiing side is park footage.
Most of the filming was done in and around Whitsler so if you want to get a taste of the terrain up there, than it's a good film for that. One thing that will blow you away about this film is the editing quality. Even though they don't even come close to the budgets of other ski film companies, the editing is top notch and makes for a really fluid movie.
So go out and support these guys because they really deserve it.
