We pushed out all of the snow last night and its fairly typical of the last couple openings.
But with the high temps today thru thursday we are going to wait to open possibly for the weekend. some snowmaking temps return thursday night and get better each night thriugh sunday.
Check back here for all offical details regarding opening.

"Hey eric, I'm in Davis right now, it's pretty cold, like, I just had to put on a sweater to walk downtown so I'm pretty sure it's like even more cold at boreal. I also like checked weather.com and it said in Tahoe City it's below freezing and despite the fact that inversion makes it colder in tahoe than at boreal since cold air descends downslope into the valleys and warm air rises you should like maybe probably definately change the fall climate of your region and make snow tonight ok, cool thanks."

yeah, they don't have shit up there, plus it rained today. They can't make snow if its freezing temps for only a few hours at a time

waiting patiently for the r#%n to pass and cold/low humidity to set in on sunday.
looks like some VERY good snowmaking for sunday and monday nights.
we have been talking about possibly a late opening on monday with a night session.
we have to see what actually happens with the weather but the late opening right now seems like the best option to get open asap and still have time to groom and put out rails.
hpefully the weather will turning back into our favor here this week.

I've got all of our new micro kinked rails ready as well as all of our flat boxes...thet're all staged and ready to go depending on how much snow we have to work with.

nothing is definite until there's more snow aon the ground.
snowmaking is going rather well right now, i just had a cat out there earlier moving some snow guns around..it wasn't to bad but at the same time it wasn't spectactular either.
please be patient...we are basically going from zero snow on the ground to possibly open in a 24hour span...things are moving along pretty fast but in all reality there are only so many hours in a day. I plan on going out in the cat again around 5am to evaluate things, then have a meeting of the minds on whether or not we will open for 12-9pm monday.
my next update won't be until after 5am.

I know its early, but what are the possibilities for snowblowing later on in the week? I hear its supposed to be a tad bit warmer on thursday, but this next weekend there could be more sierra showers... either rain or snow.... i think i have a feeling what we all are prayin for there.
god I wish we had higher elevation sometimes...
