So I have one iPod fifth gen so thats the video, in working conditoin, BUT only one audio channel works, I think its the left one only, the right one doesnt work, unless you jiggle the plug. I forget which channel it is that doesn't work, but I will check when I get out of class.
I'm not ballsey enough to open it up, but once you do it should be easily fixable.

It is the right side that doesn't work consistently. It doesn't take very much to make it work, if no one takes me up on this i think ill just tape my ski headphones to it, and it would work fine. i would keep it, but girlfriend already bought me a new one.

yea, my split ear headphones only played out of one ear as well...unless they arent the ones that came with the pod

the same thing happened to my ipod, it wasn't the headphones, the audio port was just busted.

No its the iPod for sure, everything else works perfect, it even is pretty new looking. Im sure if you pryed it open and took a look you could fix it.
