Howdy all,
We regret to inform you all that the rail jam scheduled for this Saturday the 27th at the Alpine Shop in Burlington, VT is postponed indefinitely. With rain in the forecast through the week and on Saturday, we are not sure the snow will be available to adequately stock the rail jam. We will try to re-schedule for later in the fall or early winter.
Thanks to everybody who came out for the September event, we will get photos and videos up this week.

40% chance both sat and sun with windows before and after the weekend, its only tues so the chances of there being a bunch of rain look low.

pffttt....i was already planning on going to whaleback instead: twice the snow, twice the rails, half as far away and ten times more chill.

If it looks like rain, people aren't going to show up. It doesn't matter about the chances of rain. It may be 40% chance, but that translates to 80% chance of clouds, overcast, and no sun.
The point of a rail jam at a shop is to get spectators and sell stuff. It's not just to support the sport. I probably have one of the poorest opinions of the alpine shop, but your whining does nothing to help the situation.

I see you found enough time to pull yourself away from an underage girl.

It's a lot harder to set up a free rail jam for 50 people than for 5, at least they didn't try to half ass it again and are planning ahead.

Last year it poured and there was a shit ton of kids... But that means more snow for our own set up, and dont need to stand in a line for an hour.

SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT: or if you're in burlington and its raining you can always go to the orage warehouse sale saturday 9-6 or sunday 9-4. it will be at the holiday in on the corner of dorset st. and williston rd., a stones throw from 89. you can usually find jackets for as low as $60.

not to claim, but last weekend at the rail jam at toggenburg mountain in new york, it had rained steadily all week and even heavily at times during the event, but we still managed to have snow and a large turn out for the session...
