Replying to Jeep Ski Racks

I have a '01 Jeep Wrangler hard top and I am looking to get a ski/snowboard rack for it.  I don't want one on the spare tire or the hitch.  I want one that goes on the TOP.  I found some Thule stuff that adds up to about $500.  Someone else on NS has to have a Jeep with a ski rack and I am wondering what you did.  Do I need another rain gutter mount for the back feet of the rack?  Also has anyone ever seen a Thule BOX on top of a Jeep?  If anyone has an pictures of a set up that would be even better.  Thanks for the help.
