I am going far from my east coast home this year to do some real skiing over in Colorado and I decided to use the opportunity as an excuse to buy some new boots. I went to my local DC shop and checked out everything they had that was soft (SPK pro, Scratch, etc). Then I tried on the Il Moro...

I had always wanted to take a look at the Dalbello Krypton line, but everyone on this site is always saying how narrow they are, and I just figured they wouldn't fit me very well. However, it fit so well I made an impulse purchase and bought the Il Moro while my feet were still in them. So... for everyone who has ever looked at the Krypton, Full Tilt, or any other Flexon spin-off boot, but was hesitant because of the narrow fit rumors, I strongly recommend that you go down to your local shop and TRY ONE ON. I learned my lesson: don't believe everything you read on NS, go try it yourself. It's totally redbull dude.

I'm probs getting a good deal on some Kryptons. I need yet to try them on though. I hope I like them.

its not that kryptons are exceptionally narrow, but they are definitely not as wide as SPK's etc..

The reason they get this 'narrow' reputation is because kids on this site often compare the two boots as possible options, but realistically there is no way both boots could work for someone - one of them will be too wide or too narrow..

pretty sure from memory the rampage is 98mm wide, and the SPK is 104 or 106mm, so theres a fair bit in it..
