Replying to Help - Mounting my 06/07 Scratch FS WRS

Kruppa:

I've searched and read through numerous other threads about mounting these skis and the general consensus seems to be anywhere from +2 to +6 of modern.  Here is some background to help your opinion.

I'm 6'0, 165 pounds, and an advanced skier.  I ski all East Coast @ Loon, Waterville, and Cranmore.  This year I'm planning on doing 65% park, 35% all mountain.  Previously I had 06/07 K2 PE's mounted at +5.5 (-2 from core center of +7.5).  By the end of the season I wanted to be more forward so I got them remounted at core center.  I only skied on them twice at this mounting point and I didn't like it too much (harder to carve).  I didn't think 2 cm would make a big difference but it did for me...it could also be the snow was more wet making it harder to turn at the end of the season in New England.  I know most good skiers can handle core center fine but I guess I'm not good enough for that unless it was the snow like I said.

I know people here are very touchy about using K2 mounting terminology when referring to other brands of skis, but I was hoping somebody could let me know what the equivelant of +6.5 (-1 from core center) on K2 skis is on my new Rossignol Scratch FS WRS skis.  Also, from reading above, what would you recommend?  I assume these skis will carve/handle much differently than my K2 PE's but since I haven't used them before I have no way of knowing.

Thanks guys.
