So i found out i have to get braces.all i want to know is do they suck as much as people say?are they a big hastle and hard to take care of?All i know is they cost a shit load of money just to make your teeth a little better.i mean why the fuck does it cost so much to put some wires it your mouth.I think its just a big gimic and even if you have a tiny thing wrong with your teeth the orthadontist scams you into thinking that you need them.Im just pissed off that i need them.

it hurts like a bitch when they tighten them, I had to eat soft stuff for like a week afterwords each time. Cleaning is easy, just brush your teeth like normal and it should be all good

i had them.
yeah, they suck. they are hella uncomfortable, and may cut up your lips at first. they are also unattractive.

but they were totally worth it. i have really good, straight teeth now.

but they suck when you have them, especially if you need them for like 2 years.

damn that brings back bad memories...
every time they tightened them it was terrible. my teeth would be incredibly sore for like 3 days. i couldn't even bite down or put my teeth together because it hurt so bad.

The first few days sucked for me because they cut my lips, but put lots of that wax on and it's all good. I didn't have any of the problems most people with braces complain about, I could still eat apples and chew gum. Not really any pain other than when I kneed myself in the face once.

that sucks...im lucky i have straight teeth and never needed braces...only one small overlap with a tooth on the bottem.

I have like no problems with my braces, they don't bug me the slightest bit.  When I get the wires changed, it doesn't hurt, at all... I don't know what people are talking about when they say it does.  The only problem I've ever had was breaking brackets, but now that my teeth are straight (only took like 3 weeks) I don't break brackets anymore because there is less stress.  And in the end, I get perfect teeth.

ya the only bad parts are 1st few weeks after u get them on and when they tighten them otherwise you'll totally forget they're there....just remember to brush them everyday or you'll have stains when they take them off..other than that they aren't too bad

i had mine for around 5 years and they arent as big of a deal as people say they are. i still ate whatever i wanted and they only hurt when the re adjusted them like once every coule months, but even then it wasnt too bad your teeth were just a little sore.

they arent that big of a deal and once its done you have nice looking teeth

braces suck dick. not bad if you have em for less than a year or whatever, but if you get stuck with them for like 5+years like some of my friends back in the day, that really sucks.

i need to get braces but not because my teeth are crooked.
my "fangs" dont have a big enough space to fall into, so they want to give me braces to pull apart the teeth and let them drop in.
but i said fuck that i'm not getting braces with 1 year left of highschool.
if i dont smile you cant notice so its alright guess. except i smile alot but meh

oh the woes of early teenhood. i was supposed to get braces but i refused and refused. im pretty sure i threatened to kil the dentist if they touched me. but yeah why?? my top teeth were/are fin my bottom teeth are a little messed up but who gives a a shit, why look like everyone else, not to mention waste like 5k of your rents money.

they suck when you first get them.  theyll hurt like a bitch for a few days.  if you get a chain that also kills.  if you get a nance thats really annoying (its a plate that goes in the top of your mouth).  getting food stuck in the braces is super annoying

however when you get them off its very satisfying and i love my perfect teeth

I had mine done when I was like 13 I think.. hurt so bad at first I couldn't even eat McDonalds fries haha they were fine after a coupla days.. when they got tightened or kinda hurt a lil but not bad.

I just thought that they were annoying.  Didnt hurt too much but just something you always were aware of having and it does epically suck when doing physical stuff, get your lips cut all the time.  I would check out invisiline, so you can have some more freedom, being able to eat without them, i remember always getting food stuck in them.

my old dentist told me i really needed them and stuff...and i have super straight teeth...and then we changed
and got a second opionion and the other guy said he was an idiot and that i had the straightest teeth hed ever seen. he said if i hadnt told him he would have thought id had braces


im lucky....my friend just got hers off and shes so happy about it...good luck man

I had straight teeth until I was 17.  That year I did a few cartwheels through a rock patch at Big Sky and managed to slightly rotate a bone in my neck, which set my jaw out of line, which in turn screwed up my teeth.  It got to the point where I could close my mouth for a while, then 2 hours later I couldn't, so I was kind of forced into doing something about it.  They're bearable to an extent, but I can't say I wouldn't be a lot happier without them...only two long months left!  Just don't knee yourself in the face, if you do it hard enough you have to literally peel your lip off your teeth.

they hurt when you get them on for the first time cause theres so much pressure your teeth are unused to. since theyre designed to force your teeth into a new position.
then they hurt for like the first few months everytime they get tightened. after that you stop noticing.

any picture you get taken they make you look like a freak of nature if your exposing them.

yeah i heard that they accually make all your teeth loose and u can wiggle them.but yeah my bro always hit his mouth.one time he hit his mouth wakeboarding and his hole mouth was shredded and bleed for like half an hour.
