Semi Fish Lens w/ Adapter Rings

if my camera has a 43mm front thread (gs500) and the lens is for a 37mm, but has an adapter ring, will it affect my view alot?

this is the one, im just curious...thanks for the help.  I posted this in the movie maker cult, but im not getting a lot of answers there, so i thought id throw it out here

yayou will get alot of vig from that (black circle around the edge of the screen) 
you should try and find one hta fits on perfectly or so that the part where you attach it to your camera is bigger then that lens on the camera

Ok buying a lens that is threaded smaller than your thread mount on your camera is a huge no. You will get the most disgusting vignetting ever. Now on the other hand, you can try to find a lens where the threading is slightly larger than that of your camera, and buy an adaptor ring to fit it. This will result in absolutely no vignetting and a much sharper picture.
