im in the market for some new bindings, an all mountain/ freeride binding to put on my PE's. i am looking at the Salomon Z10 Ti and Rossi Axium Scratch 110WB bindings. any comments on what is the better binding. i currently have some heavy ass markers on my skis now and the Z10's says they are just over 1lb and the Axium's are just over 4lbs. I want a lightweight and strong binding that is well all around and under $180
rossi my dad and my friend are the only two people that i know that have had salomons, and they've both wrecked their knees... i had rossis and i didn't its a clear answer.
backcounrty has the salomon's listed at 1.875 lbs per binding. i weigh about 165, my current binding is set to a DIN of 7. what you mean the "boner heal piece"? I dont wanna bust my wallet on bindings
He means if they are the Pivot or PX series bindings.
The Z series are light as all get out, and if you aren't hard on your bindings they should work fine. The Z12 can be had on ebay for cheaper than you're about to spend. Look there.
u said u weigh 165? and u have ur din usually set at 7, and u are planning on buying a binding with a din of 10? I think u would rather bust ur wallet, then bust ur ass when u release out of ur bidnngs, get something with a 12 din, stay away from the 10 din. If u want a light binding get the z12's, if u want a durable binding, that wont dissapoint u, look for some p12's.
the two youre looking at are pretty low end (z10 and axium). You can get solid bindings (with a bit more din) for cheaper than $180 no sweat.
You can get Look p12 race on ebay for like $130-$160 (it fluctuates), or hell, you can get some look px12s for less than $100, likewise with axial2 120s.
