VW Westfalia question

Not too sure why I'm asking NS about this.  But ya has anyone every driven one of these and do you think it would have any chance of getting up to the top of the ski hill in the winter?  I want one so badly to go on road trips this winter but I hear they're completely gutless.  So ya anyone know?

no. It might not break down, thats about the best to expect. But if you have any type of drive to get to skiing I would suggest a more reliable car.

By the way I think they have somewhere around 45 hp

They are fun, loud, soo gutless you need to drive attentively, give hills a run etc, they feel like they are going to flip and generally leak everywhere.  But they are awesome!

damn it I want one so badly.

Just imagine going out with 3 friends for a week long ski trip, camp in the parking lot of the ski hill in your hippie bus.  Seriously it's like my dream right now

we have all been there but at some point you get back to reality. Plus they are expensive. If you want to camp at the ski resort sleep in the back of a suv and expect to spend some gas money keeping your ass warm.

Or sleep in the parking garage of a local hotel.
