I swear I can honestly say I HATE my dad. Amongst other shit thats going on, today he just reinforced my position that he is a piece of shit.
So today is my moms birthday, and he didnt say shit all morning. I go to the store and buy her a cake/card and give it to her and when he comes home he sees this. Does he say Happy Birthday then? Hell no he doesnt. When hes about to leave he trys to say he didnt forget but my mom says 'yes you did' and he admits it. Then he argues with her that he has alot on his mind right now and thats why he forgot, and she said first you forget our anniversary and now this. So, in typical fashion of my father, he says "Well if youre going to be pissed then fuck it, I dont give a shit" and he walks out. All he had to say is sorry and admit he was wrong but no hes a fucking prick and I swear after he puts me through college I'm never speaking to him again.

I'm lucky enough to have really good parents. My dad is having some serious hart surgery right now though, so I'm living with my grandma while my mom and dad are at the hospital.

my dad forgot my moms birhtday one day, she couldnt of been happier, he took her out to dinner twice, sent her roses multipule times and gave her breakfast in bed. now she never warns us of her birthday aprouching in hopes she gets the treatment again

Yeah me, my mom and my sister are all pretty close.
About the affair, one night he was coming home from a party of somekind (he was like 27 at the time) and he saw his old "high-school sweetheart" at a gas station and they started talking. Then he fucked her and a couple years later she tells him she had a kid with him. He told me and my sister when we were around 12 and I didn't talk/look him in the eye for about a month afterward. This chick is a slut too she has 2 kids one with my dad who pays child support and another with some guy who left when she told him and never seen him again.

no, he's a guy who obviously understands how this world works. the guy who started this thing is being a bit of a hypocrite. his parents can't be that bad if they are paying his tuition.
so much shit is started because people won't man up, and just set things straight. acting like a little bitch never got anyone anywhere. sure, teenage angst and all that, but in the end, just sit back, make your mom feel better, be the bigger man, and ignore him or kick him out, or let him know how you feel and what he has to do to change, doing whichever option you choose respectfully, and forcefully. Maybe he's just acting up because he doesn't feel respected, and doesn't want to be pushed away by your attitude.

by that logic, you could say someones parents arent that bad cause they let you live in their house, or they arent that bad cause they dont beat you. just because your parents are paying for your college doesnt mean you have no right to complain. my parents are generally the best and have put up with a ton of shit from me, but I still get pissed at them.
technically none of us have any right to complain, since we dont live in 3rd world countries and never had to scavenge food from garbage.

Haha dude you can shut up about that. I don't think your mind can comprehend the bullshit he has put me and my family through, not even the slightest. Yeah, he makes his money, but when you hear your dad coming home and you begin to feel sick, you know somethings fucked up. He used to abuse me, hes cheated on my mom and got the chick pregnant, he does drugs, hes an alcoholic, and if you could see some of our arguments itd make you sick how he acts. I hate my dad, I hate everything about him except he has determination. HE goes out all night and gets wasted while my moms paycheck doesnt even count so she sits at home and does nothing, except clean until work. She gets shit from him when she asks for grocery money, while he has a $10,000 crotch rocket, camaro, Fiero, decked out garage, does whatever he wants with his money. I never said I wouldn't pay for college out of my own pocket, but if this dickbag of a father wants to put me through then BY ALL MEANS.

We've told him, time and time again that he has anger issues/is an alcoholic, he is too ignorant to do anything. My dad, although a prick, wants his kids to be succesful which is why he is putting money in for me to go to college. He has a dominant personality, if anything, he kicks US out, and usually we work our way through problems by late nights of arguing/throwing shit and then the next week we just barely talk. You're right, he doesn't feel respected, but when you act like he acts I can't respect somebody like that.

he was a total douche to my mom too but my mom ended up divorcing him. has your mom ever considered anything like that? i mean, it may be tough for a while ya know, until she gets her feet on the ground but im sure you guys would be better off...and he'd have to pay support to her.
