Washing ski boot liners

soo my liners smell like shit. i wanna try washing them so does anyone have experience with puting them in a washer machine? if so what cycle should i put it on (cold cold, hot cold, warm cold, warm warm)

oh dude, mine smell so rancid.   i just hand washed them by hand.  im sure they will do fine in the wash as long as you dry them out without mold or mildew shit, thats what what reeks.

It's not recommended to put your liners in the wash. It can do a fair beating on the foam in the liners, taking away from the overall life, and it can also change how you have broken the liners in.

If they are pieces of shit, and you just want them not to stink, go for it. Hand washing orletting them air out outside can do wonders. also make sure you wash out the inside of the shell.

If your boots smell just put a little cup of bicarbonate of soda in the bottom of each boot and leave it overnight. Works like a treat

well when i have $10 in my bank, owe my brother $20 and have $0 in my wallet, then its kinda expensive.

and this is more than a one time thing, my feet rank like a dirty whores vagaga, so im probably gunna end up washing them like every weekend if its not too bad for them

They are actually fairly expensive for new ones.  And if you put them in the washer that's exactly what you're going to have to do.  

a lot of higher end liners have a thermal mold when you put your foot in and ride, it molds to the shape of your foot. 

By putting it in the washer,  you're fucking everything up.


If you have to, wash by hand with COLD water.

If this is a weekly problem it is an easy fix.

Take your liners out and dry them. Turn your shells upside down and drain them and dry them. Everytime after you ski. They will be a lot nicer to put on and should not stink (so bad). You can dry the liners with a boot dryer (make sure there is no orthotic in them, as that will wreck it). Do not use anything that gets to warm on the shell, especially if you have any stretching or punching done.

Also, pull out the footbeds, funk grows between the liners and those babies.

just buy new ones...

theyr fairly cheap and after a long use its good to get fresh liners and re mold them again.

or just spray the crap out of the ones you have now with axe or air freshener...

try using a little baking soda in each boot, and if you take the liners out of your boot every time you ski they will dry quicker and not smell as much

they certainly aren't cheap - and its very hard to find them..

could always get custom ones e.g. zipfit/intuition
