guys, do tell me if i've entirely missed the point of helmets but...
i was always under the impression that you wear a helmet to protect your head, brain injuries and thousands of $$$ of medical bills. reading this thread however, i seem to be mistaken, as popular opinion appears to be that the real purpose of a helmet is to make you look cool. as such, it would seem that the most important factor in choosing a helmet therefore is whether or not it fits your goggles, rather than whether or not is is likely to prevent your skull from being fractured in the event of a severe impact.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?
hierarchy of choice factors (NO ARGUEMENT)
1] How much protection it affords the wearer.
sweet helmets

poc helmets www.pocski.com
giro helmets www.giro.com
...are the best, in that order
2]Fit (your head). The best helmet in the world won't protect you too well if it doesn't fit the shape/size of your head correctly.
3] Last, AND LEAST, how it looks with your goggles.
People, I'm not preaching to you that you must wear a helmet, its your fucking head not mine, but if you do, buy one based on my hierarchy. If your that worried about how it looks, know that the people that really matter, i.e. that ones that really know what they're talkin about, will give you way more respect for rocking a quality product rather then being a fashion victim.
rant over :)
