Reviews of Enjoy, Yeah Dude, and Lost and Found

First Enjoy: I think that Enjoy has some extremely solid skiing but a lot of am's. Ahmet Dadali absolutely kills the urban rails in that movie. Ian Cosco throws down also with crazy urban. Tim Durtschi (sp?) throws down off of jumps, which should be no surprise. One of my favorite segments is by Richard Permin. He throws down off the jumps with some sick switch 7 octo's and very stylie switch 7 mutes. There were many other sick segments such as Ashley Battersby or Taylor Felton. This movie had a lot of big mountain riding. Also the filming is very well done and the timelapses are very well done. The soundtrack wasn't the best that I've heard but it wasn't bad either.
Yeah Dude: I thought this movie was actually very good. The soundtrack was not great but the skiing was very solid. Olenick throws down with some sick misty 5 trucks and ill true tails. Matt Walker kills everything that he does and the dub z rail was very impressive. Chris Benchetler kills it in the powder and jumps and has probably my favorite overall segment. Andrea Hatveit slays the urban in this movie not even to mention very stylish jumping. Sammy's segment was solid. I thought Dumon's pipe segment lacked and got boring which was unusual. Overall, the editing was done in a much different way with certain people getting segments and other people coming in and out of the movie in segments for other places.
Lost and Found: I don't have much to say about this movie. First Marc Andre Belliveau has a very inspiring segment that really shows the love that he has for the sport. The powder segments throughout the movie re-defined what big mountain skiing looks like for me. I had thought of it as just boring but this movie really showed how sick it really is. The helmet cam's that they have are unreal. Sage absolutely kills everything along with Seth and his flips. The music was odd but I had expected that from TGR.
Sparknotes version
Enjoy - good amount of big mountain and park mix, urban was really good, pretty good soundtrack
Yeah Dude - basically all park, solid movie overall, sountrack was ok
Lost and Found - excellent big mountain movie, music was odd, Marc Andre has a very inspiring segment

Yeah Dude's soundtrack was good at times, not so good at others. But then again, everyone has a different taste in music.
There were so many segs I liked. Hatveits definitely stood out, Benchetler's was sick, Calgary was fun & cool, Sammy's was awesome too, and i liked the Shweitzer seg, and the music was awesome in that seg too. Hatveit's music was awesome too

Hey everyone! Take the time to write formal reviews using the NS system when you are stoked on something (or not) It really could help people later on instead of everyone hollering "search bar!" plus, it's great for your karma.

Apparently Rob is the official NS Bot.
Anyway, I haven't seen Enjoy or Lost and Found. However, I think Yeah Dude could have been a good movie had it been cut down into the opening pillows segment, about 8 rider/split rider segs and the US open thing. 40 minutes. Keep Benchetler, Hatveit (incorporate ALL his footage into one seg even if you need 2 songs) and probably Tim Durtschi, and make sure there's plenty of Matt Walker and Mike Henitiuk's urban stuff. There's still some room for decision-making as to what shots get into the flick, but some of the segments go in the bonus (no offense Kyler Cooley). The Nebraska stuff needs to go in the bonus almost entirely, as should the Sirianni/Henituk sandwich thing (what the hell was that about) and Schweitzer superpark? Are you joking? ... Same with the halfpipe stuff, which is good to see but is tangential. And definitely the Alaska seg which doesn't fit into the movie at ALL. Sorry, I know you guys spent a bunch of cash getting that footage, but I though someone had popped in an old MSP DVD suddenly and it totally interrupts the flow.
Basically if I had been making the movie, a whole ton of it would've hit the cutting room floor.

A fair bit of it could have gone into particular rider segments for sure... but to have an entire location segment at Schweitzer? I'm not on board.
