that would make it worse... just get a boot with less forward lean.

ummm, that's not a good idea. your muscles would just strain a ton more when you land backseat to keep you from sitting down.

Not everyone can do that, especially if they are new to the sport.

Boot fitting isn't getting old. If it doesn't fit, you ride worse, and can damage your muscles on landings. If he has a problem landing backseat, a better fitting boot, if his isn't already perfect, can do wonders.

heh, good thing you don't have a genie. Think about it: if your boot flexed backwards you would snap the tendons and ligaments on the top part of your ankle, and you would also not actually be able to land ANYTHING that you didn't put down perfectly. Think about landing backseat and then the boot flexes backwards, you would just wash out

get some cross country boots and have fun breaking your leg. there's a reason why no boots have ever been made with backward flex...

But you have to learn not to land backseat. You have to learn eventually, or else you will never be able to do any good tricks.

I know It's been said a thousand times, but I'm not trying to be funny, a good fitting boot will make your day 1000 times better than a boot that doesn't fit properly. Anyways, a boot that flexes backwards would be suicide....

Your quads will get really sore after a while, along with loads of other muscles.
I'm not sure you want a backwards flexing boot... sometimes I find the stiff back helps me get back on balance when I land a bit backseat because I can actually get forward... a backwards flexing boot will just give way when you try and pull yourself back up

Pretty much, you either learn to land right or eat it. Back flex is a terrible idea.
