I wear that size new era, and I got a g10MX in small and it fits snug. I don't wear any beanies or any shit under my helmet though. My head is small though, I dunno proportions but it's like smaller than all my friends.

Both helmets are fat. I wanted a 9mx but I couldn't find one at the end of last season. So I bought a g10mx in small and it fits really well, I have yet to ski with it though.

G10mx is fatter than 9mx, also the visor looks way shittier, more added on as opposed to part of the helmet, the 9mx is better IMO.

The 9 MX is basically the same contruction as a bycicle helmet, foam with a thin layer of heat moulded plastic over it. The G10 actually has a casted plastic shell, much more sturdy.

I have a G10MX that I may just sell if you offer the right price. It's a medium and it's in good condition. Scratches here and there but nothing too major. Let me know.
