Mounting ARV 185 ..07s

YUP, what would you reccommend.  It's looking like they will be a more pow ski and all mountain, with occasional park use, but taht could change if I don't get park skis.  I was thinking like +2 from reccomended at most, so they are good in pow and can ski park good too.  Thoughts?

-3 or -4 from true center. they will kill it everywhere

haha man i dont really remember...i always just base my mounting from true. But regardless mine are -3 and i love it there. Haevnt experienced any tip dive or anything and they can still kill it ridin dirty

Reccomended is -5cm from true centre. I would say -3cm from true.

hey my ARV 165's came mounted and i cant decide either to remount them or not. They are like 4.5 cm from true center. Should I move them up more?

How about since they are already mounted you TRY RIDING THEM FIRST, and then decide...

yeah i was planning on doing so, but ive never ridden any ski that was center mounted or even mounted anything besides the recommended, so i dont what to expect if they were anywhere closer to true center from besides what they are now.

People bitch and moan all the time about how mounting forward of recommended ruins your skis ability to ski all mtn. Don't believe them that is an old school train of thought. I ski center mounts all mtn. all the time. They are super balanced and as long as you have a decent length, very stable. And, I can carve fine. Center mount just really makes the skis feel more natural to me especially spinning and riding switch, you get a better flex in the tail because you have more length back there to press on. Seriously, traditional mounts blow ass, it's all about progressive mounts, it makes skiing way more fun.

ARV's are a sick all around ski, one of the best I have ever owned. I think I had mine mounted a few cm's forward of recommended, but ultimately I wished I had mounted them 1-3 back from center. I used them as an all mtn ski that still slayed park, and they would have been sick and very versatile with a near center mount.
