LOOK P15 lifter HELP!!!!

That's not as much a lifter as it is part of the binding.  Every binding I can think of has some degree of forward lean built into it, and as far as  I know there isn't a way to get rid of it.  It's ony 3-4mm anyway, isn't it?

Im not sure where your getting the "lifter" from. can you sopy the picture posted beneath, and circle where the "lifter" is?

No way of getting rid of it. All bindings have a ramp, Look/Rossi moreso than others.

You could always mount a riser (2mm or so) under the toe but it might affect release slightly.

Do race bindings tend to have more of a ramp than other bindings, as if to inhibit more of a forward lean?

if you look closely at where the heel actually rests on the healpeice then you will see it is facing downward. i can really feel it when i stand on them.
I know you can mount them flat...ive seen it before, i just dont know how.

No man, they cant be lowered at all, thats where the heel "pivots". Its impossible to remove that, and have a functional binding.

No, I don't think so. The heel looks about 4-5mm higher than the toe on my FKS (not mounted yet so I can't tell exactly). I was searchign for info on this last week and found this page on Epic - http://forums.epicski.com/showthread.php?t=29516 . The dude there is saying the heel on a P12 is 5mm higher than the toe, which seems about right. Aparently that's more delta (difference) than other brands.

So, if you REALLY want a flat setup, mount a 4-5mm lifter under your toe, but you shouldn't be able to tell too much difference and you'd need to find a shop with longer screws too. Mount them as they are and ride them - I bet you'd never have notice the difference in hwo they ride if you hadn't looked at the baseplate in this much detail. You can always throw some lifters in at any point. But then you're a bit higher off the ski...

1. its not much of a difference if you leave it (my fks 185's on my ar5's were perfect, i didn't even notice)

2. the 18mm heel height and the 14 mm toe height is way less than px's or px lifters (22ish and 30ish in mm's)

if your feet are long enough your ramp angle won't even be noticeable due to some mathamatical rule my teacher was talking about today about how length over different heights, blah blah blah, fuckin, something- bottom line you wont notice, and don't bother adding height to your toe pieces because thats how the binding was made.

indeed. The fks are considerably lower than my look Px12's, and even lower than px12 lifters.

yea i wasnt worried about the height...however i did notice the ramp angle when i stood on them...def felt like a racing stance...i will get over it.
