Hey, my friends and I were going to build a box...so far we're gonna get a UMHW topsheet and some 2x4 studs at home depot or something...so yeah we need some help with like the structure of it. We were planning on just making a solid box design but we arent sure how...possibly just make a frame with 2x4s I guess. I guess we have a decent plan for the structure of the box, but we're not sure about coping...would you guys recommend something for coping? I found some steel angle things online for really cheap but I'm not quite sure how to attach them to the box, haha we are pretty lost on that part
Ok let me clear up that post...we're good on everything except coping. We're gonna get some steel angles for the coping but we're not sure how to attach that to the box. That's my only question as of now haha...
what site are you using for the steel angle? I would think you could just pre-drill holes through the side of the angle and then attach iw with screws from the side of the box
I honestly think that PVC coping would be better. Make the box wider than the slidey stuff, then put pvc on the outside of that shit and boom.. Just make a piece of 4x8 plywood or any that can hold the HDPE or w/e...then make the box wider than that by 2 pvcs...then put the pvcs on the edge so that the hdpe can be just under neithe the coping...so you slide ont he coping. sorry if that didnt make sence
