If you look at it like this, the waist is 127.  The Prophet 130 is 3 mm wider underfoot.  But that ski is $800 +.  So $650 isn't too bad at all.  And they are definitely worth it.

so thats how they figure out the price of the ski... by measuring the waist.

150 bucks for 3 more mm is a steal!

That is pro-form.  Dealer cost is more than that.  We don't make much money on skis.

$650 is the lowest they're allowed to be sold at.  MSRP is higher, but nobody really charges MSRP.

Like Josh said MAP is $650 which means that is the cheapest we can sell it for. There is not great money on skis like people think especially since we have to pay to get them shipped to us and then most shops pay to ship them out to customers. There are a lot of expenses that the customer never thinks about. As for $650 being expensive I am not sure how you can say that. look at other skis in that category and look at the price, they are almost all at least $100 more. A lot of work went into the EP Pro from Pollard and it is not cheap to do R&D. If we do not support riders like Pollard we will fail to get innovative products inthe future.

Yup. Pretty much everyone sells right at he lowest retail price. Most MSRPs are a hundred to two hundred more than the lowest price.

i guess if you ski at whistler a lot they might be worth it. i only get up to whistler like 20 days a season though so it wouldn't make sense for me.

yeah i probly get up to whis around that many times too mabey a few more days. but im gettin them for a ski for diod mad butters, big slow cork 5s and basicaly just a fun ski. and then when i do find the pow i will very happy too. plus i might actually be able to land off the citybooter.

thats the thing though always want new and innovative products on the market but i cant pay 600$ for a ski its too much money i dont have
