Saaaaaaame.  So dope.  So he seriously doesn't ski anymore?  That would suck.  But I don't see how it can be true, who can just "quit" skiing!?

He had a super gnarly fall last season that really shook him up (one of those "holy shit I almost just died" ones).  Last word is that he wanted to step away from skiing for a little while because of it, but I'll bet he comes back in due time.
He's probably charging barrels in Hossegor right now....

trust me, woodie has just walked away from both skiing and surfing completely to live with his chick in sweden. remember this is a guy who didn't start skiing till he was like 20, became on of the top pros in the world a few seasons later, whilst at the same time being a comp-level surfer... maybe he just lost the love for it?

he fukin shres soo hard and hes a sick surfer ..... Hes the only aussie male to have a big mountain part in an international movie and a very gnarly one at that , Swedish women have a wierd affect on guys  hahaha Chris Biolo moves to sweden and now woodie  whos next ?

Woodie owns a bar restaurant on the beach in Hossegor called Le Surfing which is extremely popular. He still skis but not professionally. He is now mainly chasing the sun and surf. Euro summers in Hossegor and Aussie summers in Oz. He does get up to Tignes most seasons and yes, he still rips. Check out this vid on Vimeo. https://vimeo.com/22332168 which was shot in 2011. The Swedish girl has fallen by the wayside. He is now with an Italian lady.

wow- old thread, but i'm so glad it came up!

The opening line Woodie skis in that salomon edit is what inspired me as a teenager to get in to big mountain comps. I used to watch it constantly.

Hope he is happy in sweden or wherever. Definitely a dude I'd love to go skiing with.
