Ipod chipping

so i was looking at my brandnew ipod in which i have had for about a week and the front is chipping.I think the main reason is because they dont give you a case enymore so its not protected.either they think you dont need one(which you do)or there to cheap to give you a case which probobly costs 5 cents to make.I mean if you pay 315 dollars for something i expect they give you something to protect it.enyway is enyone else haveing this problem with your ipod?

Mine came with a soft case(more like a condom i guess...) did they stop doing that?

i've been using my soft case since i got my 5th gen like 2 or 3 years ago. its works amazing. stops the scratches that would occur if it was in my pocket and acts as a little buffer just in case i drop it

Yeah, I use a soft case which came with it. It's like a cloth, black (with my black iPod 5.5G), and it works great. I find sometimes I don't put it back in the case though, and put it on my desk without a case on and it leaves those stupid scratches on the back. I hate how easily the back scratches. I know you can get like scratch removers, which work 'cause my friend has one, but I'm not willing to spend $10 just to get some scratches off my iPod

yup ive been using my little softcase for my video for over a year and it worked perfectly, unfortunatly i lost it last week on the city bus and im quite pissed about it. but it does work realll good

ive always had mine in a clear plastic case... since the day i got it and it is seriously like brand new right now. i swear by those cases. keeps all the dirt and everything in you pockets out of it and it only cost me somthing like 20 bucks. ive had it for around 2 years now and it only has a couple little chips on the case, and not even a scratch on my ipod

Ive had my 1st gen nano in a black leather case for a few years, and the edges get dented and chipped but its not bad. Theres a good 2 mm of hard plastic you have to chip through to hit the metal so i wouldnt worry.
